FEMALE HORMONAL DISORDERS:

Female hormones (estrogen and progesterone) must coexist peacefully in a perfect balance in the body. Any deviation from the normal has a dramatic effect on the woman’s health.

Female hormonal disorders are due to either of the following:

  • Over or under-production of female hormones
  • Excess production of male hormones

ROLE OF FEMALE HORMONES:

These hormones play an important role in every woman’s life. These are responsible for:

  • Development of female from Childhood ͢͢→ Adulthood (Puberty) → Womanhood (Reproduction) → Old Age (Menopause).
  • Regulation of menses, Pregnancy and Menopause.
  • Growth and development of breast.
  • Distribution of hair over body.
  • Controlling metabolism and moods.

SYMPTOMS OF FEMALE HORMONAL DISORDERS:

  • Irregular (delayed/ scanty/ profuse/painful) menses
  • Increased pigmentation (on face, neck, axilla, groins )
  • Hirsutism/ Excessive hair growth (on face, axilla, arms)
  • Weight gain, water retention and swelling.
  • Pre-menstrual syndrome/ mood swings.
  • Infertility/ miscarriages.
  • Painful and/or lumpy or enlarged/ poor breast development.

COMMON CAUSES OF HORMONAL IMBALANCE:

PCOS (POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME):

PCOS is the most common female hormonal disorder marked by presence of multiple cysts in ovaries. Some patients believe that it will be corrected automatically after pregnancy. But the truth is different. Females are unable to conceive (infertility) because of PCOS. Females suffering from PCOS have to be dependent on life time artificial hormones which regularizes cycle artificially (anovular cycle) but does not dissolve away the cysts.

Ovarian Cyst is an accumulation of fluid within an ovary that is surrounded by a very thin wall and can cause problems if it twists, bleeds, or ruptures. The ovarian cyst is usually removed surgically and if reappears then ovary is removed completely.

Uterine Fibroids are non-cancerous tumors that develop in the uterus, can grow on the uterine wall and push out into the bladder, bowel or intestine causing profuse and painful menses.
Infertility is inability to conceive or become pregnant even after two years of having active sexual life. If a woman has repeated miscarriages then also it is called infertility.

Endometriosis occurs when cells from the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other areas of the body like on the ovaries, behind the uterus or on the bladder or bowel. This can lead to pain, irregular bleeding and tends to rupture easily.

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
is a term for inflammation of the uterus, fallopian tubes, and/or ovaries. It progresses to scar formation with adhesions to nearby tissues and organs. This may lead to various infections.

TREATMENT:

Conventional Approach

Conventional treatment is based on Replacement or Removal.

  • Replacement of deficient female hormones from outside in form of contraceptive pills (Deviry, Yasmin, Diane 35, Ginette, Crimson, Provera) and antidoting male hormones through artificial hormones that gives temporary relief till you take it.
  • If patients do not respond to artificial hormone replacement therapy then surgical removal is second option where just end product of the disease is removed.
  • In infertility cases heavy artificial hormones are fed along with invasive painful techniques and success is still not achieved.

Hence without correcting the underlying cause an organ is removed saying “it’s of no use anymore to you”.

“Even after undergoing the trauma of surgery patient has to bear the after-effects and complications that may need even further corrective surgery”.

Homoeopathic and Lifestyle Clinic’s Approach

  • At our clinic, every woman is assessed individually to know the underlying cause of hormonal imbalance, considering her stress factors, genetic predisposition, lifestyle, habits and then accordingly administered medicines.
  • Our Aim is to act on your hormonal axis and help your body to synthesize the desired hormones on its own without feeding you any external hormones. Our medicines are not hormones. These sweet pills are not a substitute to your hormones.
